Abstract

Goldman Sachs' UK Weekly Kickstart dated August 28, 2026 is a summer "data update only" edition carrying no new views or arguments. Revenue exposure differentials are highlighted: in FY2024, FTSE 100 constituents generated only about 22% of their sales within the UK, versus roughly 53% for the FTSE 250 (data from the Europe Portfolio Passport, December 12, 2025). Market-structure monitoring modules are refreshed using weekly EPFR data tracking global investor flows into UK equity funds—split between foreign and domestic investors—together with updates on cyclical-versus-defensive style metrics, three-month ATM implied volatility, FTSE 350 return dispersion and correlation measures. On currencies, the report's cross-asset forecast table shows GBP/USD at 1.36 currently, with 3/6/12-month forecasts of 1.33/1.29/1.28, and USD/JPY at 159 currently with a 12-month forecast of 165. Beyond this forecast table, the edition contains no forward-looking commentary, verification milestones or risk discussion, and includes no individual stock ratings, target prices or coverage lists.
