UBS published its initial read on Zhejiang Dingli Machinery following the GCC 2026 conference, highlighting an optimistic outlook for overseas markets. In the United States, final countervailing duties of 32% were implemented in December 2025, increasing the total effective tariff rate to 89%. This includes Section 301 tariffs, AD/CVD duties, fentanyl-related tariffs, and reciprocal tariffs, up from an average of 79% previously. Dingli plans to flexibly adjust US pricing based on customer acceptance in 2026 and remains confident in demand from infrastructure, data centers, and nuclear power sectors.

European market sentiment is comparatively weaker, growing approximately 2-3% annually and driven primarily by replacement demand. However, Dingli benefits from having the lowest AD/CVD duty rate in Europe at 20.6%, which improves its competitive positioning. Emerging markets present the strongest sentiment; the company successfully entered Africa in 2025, and emerging market revenue has already surpassed European revenue.

Domestically, intense competition from overcapacity is expected to keep sales volumes under pressure through 2026. To counter this, Dingli is expanding into new downstream applications, launching high-value products like aerial work platforms integrated with robotic arms for ship maintenance. UBS maintains a Neutral rating on Dingli Machinery with a 12-month target price of RMB 53.00, based on 14.5 times 2026E earnings.
