IFA 2026, Europe's largest consumer electronics and home appliances show, ran in Berlin on September 4-6, with roughly half of the 1,900+ exhibitors from China (over 900), underscoring Chinese vendors' growing role in Europe and the importance of overseas markets as a growth engine. Goldman Sachs highlights two themes. First, category expansion powered by stronger brand recognition: Anker moved to a unified 'One Anker' brand and launched its first consumer NAS (MindBase) and first OTC hearing aid (RIC Hearing Aids Pro, using its THUS AI chip); Roborock unveiled its first pool-cleaning robot (RockAqua P1); Ecovacs showed a full indoor-outdoor home robotics lineup; Ninebot upgraded robotic mowers and micromobility. Second, rising edge-AI applications aim to build data moats, cut cloud dependence, satisfy privacy rules and support premium pricing. Compared with CES and AWE upgrades earlier in the year, IFA additions were largely overseas-oriented. On stocks, Goldman stays constructive on Roborock (TP Rmb190; 17x 2028E exit P/E discounted to 2027E) and Anker (A/H Buy; TP Rmb156/HK$160; 20%+ 2025-28E revenue/profit CAGR), while Ecovacs remains Sell (TP Rmb56) on domestic competition concerns; Ninebot TP is Rmb64.
