Abstract

This CICC morning meeting note spans Hong Kong indices, banks, home appliances, A-share IPOs, credit bonds and REITs. The Hang Seng Tech Index will expand to 50 constituents, which CICC estimates could channel roughly HK$31 billion of passive inflows; post-expansion, the information technology weight rises to about 60%. Banks retain mid-term appeal on earnings stability and high dividend yields. Home appliance names face 3Q26 operating pressure, though exporters stand to benefit from the China-US tariff-reduction framework. A-share IPO subscription enthusiasm continues, with returns of about 3.68% for January-September 2026. In credit bonds, CICC favors around five-year, medium-quality central/state-owned enterprise and urban-investment bonds and advises against excessive credit descent. Central SOE energy REITs have shifted from external credit enhancement to floating return mechanisms, while Japanese REITs are rebalancing and warrant waiting for signals such as stabilized long-end rates. The macro chain runs from mild recovery and yet-to-materialize credit easing, through accommodative monetary policy, to a persistent structural bond rally; the backdrop is bond-friendly but room for across-the-board spread compression is limited. The index quarterly review results are due after the close on November 20, 2026. Top ideas: Johnson Electric (00179.HK), Outperform, HK$20.25 target; Porsche AG (P911.GY), Outperform, EUR 50 target.
